This 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT was modified in 2018 with the installation of a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 mated to a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission. Finished in black with Chromatic striping over reupholstered black vinyl seats with patterned inserts, the truck features an Advance Adapters transfer case, limited-slip differentials, turbine-style 15″ wheels, 33″ tires, a custom exhaust system, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, a black removable fiberglass hardtop, front tow hooks, front captain’s chairs, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, and an aftermarket audio system.

The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 was sourced from a 2014 Ford F-150 and installed in 2018. A Northern Radiator with dual Spal electric fans is utilized, as is an Aeromotive Phantom in-tank fuel pump. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission and a twin-stick Advance Adapters Atlas 2 dual-range 3.0:1 transfer case.

The truck utilizes a Dana 44 Detroit Truetrac front differential and a Strange Engineering 9″ nodular limited-slip rear end with 35-spline Yukon axles. A James Duff Torque Tamer traction bar also has been installed. The single-exit mandrel-bent custom exhaust system has a Magnaflow muffler. The frame was stripped and coated with rust-inhibiting material.

The Deluxe Marti report lists the factory colors, equipment, build statistics, a production date of February 12, 1979, and initial delivery to Francis Ford.

Finished from the factory in Raven Black (A) with Chromatic tape stripes, the truck features a bright grille, a grille guard, front tow hooks, chrome bumpers, low-mounted Western side mirrors, a Trailer Special rear badge, and a power-operated rear window. The black removable fiberglass hardtop as been refinished, and Xkote protectant has been applied to the paint and the stripes.

Turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 33×12.5″ Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums with a with a Wilwood master cylinder and a Wild Horses Moab hydroboost system. The truck is equipped with SkyJacker quad front and heavy-duty rear shock absorbers as well as front and rear stabilizer bars, power steering, and locking front hubs.

The cabin features front captain’s chairs and a removable folding rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with patterned cloth inserts; the replacement upholstery is said to have been sourced from Free Wheelin’ Co. Features include Vintage Air climate control, tilt steering, faux woodgrain trim, and Dojamat rubber floor mats. Sound-deadening material and insulation were installed when the carpeting was replaced, and a retro-style aftermarket radio is wired to two 6″ door speakers, an amplifier, and cargo-area speaker boxes that contain a 12″ subwoofer and two 6×9″ speakers. Weatherstripping and seals were replaced.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges monitoring oil pressure, fuel level, battery voltage, and coolant temperature.

The digital odometer shows 12k miles, true mileage is unknown.
