This 1977 MG Midget was refurbished from 2007 to 2012. Work consisted of repainting the car in its factory shade of Tahiti Blue, refreshing the interior, fitting Minilite 13″ alloy wheels, overhauling the suspension and brakes, rebuilding the four-speed manual transmission, and a rebuild and modifying the 1.5-liter inline-four with a balanced rotating assembly, a shaved head, a “B” specification camshaft, heavy-duty lifters, and a Weber 32/26 carburetor. The alternator and battery were replaced in preparation for the sale.

The 1.5-liter inline-four is equipped with a single Weber carburetor in addition to a Pierce intake manifold and an electronic fuel pump. It was rebuilt approximately 800 miles ago, with work consisting of stripping the engine to the block, widening oil passageways, honing the cylinders, balancing the rotating assembly and fitting 9:1 compression-ratio flat-top pistons, shaving the head, and regrinding the crankshaft to “B” specifications, as well as replacing the following components: Heavy-duty lifters and pushrods, Bearings, Seals, Water pump, Coolant hoses, Starter, Steel sealing block, Hardware, Battery, Alternator.

The four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt and the clutch disc, pressure plate, and hydraulic cylinders were replaced within the last 800 miles. The fuel tank and sending unit were also replaced along with portions of the exhaust system.

The car was ordered in Tahiti Blue and repainted with enamel paint, and the black soft top, taillight lenses, and weather seals were replaced. The wiper motor was also rebuilt, and a top boot and tonneau cover are included in the sale.

Silver-finished 13″ Minilite alloy wheels mounted with 155/80 Kumho Solus tires were installed, while a covered Kumho Power Star spare mounted on a Rostyle wheel is stored in the trunk. The suspension was lowered and overhauled with polyurethane bushings and replacement tie rod ends, rear leaf springs, and hardware, the steering rack was rebuilt, and the front brake rotors and pads were replaced along with the rear brake shoes, front wheel bearings, and master cylinder.

The Autumn Leaf cabin was refreshed with sound insulation under the replacement carpeting, and appointments include high-back bucket seats, rubberized floor mats, a heater, three-point seatbelts, and a push-button radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, a combination gauge for coolant temperature and oil pressure, and a fuel level gauge.

The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 46k miles.
