This 1970 Plymouth ’Cuda was refurbished in 2010, the replacement 340ci V8 was refreshed in 2015 and is paired with a replacement four-speed manual transmission. The body was repaired and refinished in black in 2010, and work included overhauling the differential and replacing the carburetor and spark plugs. The car is equipped with an MSD ignition system, dual hood scoops, hood pins, power-assisted steering and drum brakes, 14″ Rallye wheels, a pistol-grip shifter, and a push-button AM/FM radio with an aftermarket audio system.
The rebuilt 340ci V8 was installed in 2010 and was refreshed again in 2015 with a replacement cylinder head, a revised camshaft and lifter kit, and an MSD distributor, ignition system, and blaster coil as well as a replacement mechanical fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, and gaskets. The exhaust system was replaced in 2010, and the carburetor and spark plugs were replaced. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a rebuilt A-833 four-speed manual transmission that was installed in 2010. The differential was overhauled with a Yukon Master kit. Additional service completed in preparation for sale included replacing the rear axle bearings and seals with components sourced from Timken.
The car left the factory finished in Black Velvet (TX9) and was refinished in its current shade of black following the repair of body panels during refurbishment. Equipment includes a Rallye dual scoop hood, a chrome rear bumper, a driver side-view mirror, a satin black rear tail panel, hood pins, ’Cuda 340 badges and graphics, and rectangular dual exhaust outlets that terminate through the rear valence. The top of the hood and window trim are wrapped in matte black vinyl film. The underside of the hood is finished in orange, and the inside of the trunk was refinished in June 2022.
Silver-finished 14″ Rallye-style wheels wear chrome trim rings and are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The power steering column was replaced in 2010. The rear brake drums, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, and shocks were replaced and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for sale.
The front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in black vinyl. Equipment includes a heater, a pistol-grip shifter, ’Cuda-embroidered floor mats, and a push-button AM/FM radio linked to an aftermarket audio system. The seats, dashboard, carpets, door panels, and lap belts were replaced during refurbishment.
The replacement wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a Rallye instrument clock, and a combination gauge.
The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 93k miles.
