This 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 is a red-over-white convertible powered by a replacement 455ci V8 that was built by Borowski Race Enterprises and features replacement pistons, a port-matched intake manifold, a Summit Racing camshaft, and ARP fasteners. The car was refurbished in 2007 with work consisting of replacing suspension, interior, fuel system, and brake components as well as repainting the body, and adding subframe connectors. Equipment includes power-assisted steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ Rally II wheels, Firestone redline tires, a Bluetooth-capable AM/FM radio, and a dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers. Subsequently fitted with a replacement rear main seal, headlight switch and wiring, and steering box and gears.
The replacement 455ci V8 was built by Borowski Race Enterprises in 2007 and features replacement pistons, a port-matched intake manifold, a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, a Summit Racing camshaft, chrome valve covers, and ARP fasteners. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers has been installed. Pontiac Historical Services documents, manufacturer’s literature, and service records as well as a spare space-saver wheel and tire, a bell housing, cylinder heads, and four 17″ Year One Rally-style wheels are included in the sale.
The body is finished in red have been repainted around 2007. Features include a white convertible soft top, a hood-mounted tachometer, a dual scoop hood, quad headlamps, bright metal wheel molding trim, simulated quarter panel vents, and a dual outlet exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels.
The 15″ Rally II wheels wear PMD center caps and chrome trim rings and are mounted with FR70-15 Firestone Super Sports redline tires. The car is equipped with power steering and subframe connectors. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Suspension and brake components have been replaced around 2007, and the steering box, and steering gears were replaced in 2024.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in white vinyl joined by color-coordinated door panels. Equipment includes a center console, a heater and defroster, black Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats, and a Bluetooth-capable AM/FM radio. A fire extinguisher is mounted in the trunk. The headlight switch have been replaced in 2023.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a multifunction gauge that displays coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and an ammeter.
The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 35k miles, total mileage is unknown.
