This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the seller in 1997 and was subsequently re-bodied and refurbished by Twin Brook Restoration in 2001. The car is finished in red with matching coves over black vinyl upholstery and power is provided by a Rochester fuel-injected 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a white convertible top, a body-colored hardtop, heavy-duty drum brakes, 15″ wheels with spinner-style covers, BFGoodrich whitewall tires, a Harrison aluminum radiator, a dual exhaust system, and a Wonder Bar AM radio.
The 327ci V8 was rebuilt by L&L Auto Machine Service in 2001 and features a Rochester mechanical fuel-injection system, Corvette-script valve covers, a polished ignition cover, and a Harrison aluminum radiator. The fuel injection system was rebuilt by Jack Podell Fuel Injection in 2022. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The body have been repainted during the refurbishment, and features include a white convertible soft top, a body-colored hardtop, a left-side mirror, fuel-injection badges, color-keyed coves, quad headlights, split chrome bumpers, cast rocker panel moldings, and a fender-mounted antenna.
Steel 15″ wheels wear covers with simulated knock-off spinners and are mounted with bias-ply BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. A full-size spare and jack are mounted in the trunk. Braking is handled by unassisted heavy-duty drums at all four corners.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with channeled inserts joined by a color-keyed dashboard, door panels, and sun visors. Features include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater and defroster, an analog clock, polished sill plates, and a Wonder Bar push-button radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure.
The five-digit odometer shows 19 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
