This 1956 Porsche 356A Speedster is an early example. Subsequent refurbishment included minor body repairs and a repaint in the original red, as well as the installation of a 1,750cc flat-four sourced from a 912. Receipts and photographs document some of the restoration work performed by Ed Pimm of EPR Porsche Restorations, Denis Moore and Bill Kemper of Panelwerks, and Vic Skirmants of 356 Enterprises. An oil change was recently performed, and this 356A Speedster is now being offered for sale with the restoration records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

Power is supplied by a 1,750cc flat-four that was sourced from a Porsche 912 and is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Vic Skirmants of 356 Enterprises rebuilt the short block, and an oil change was recently performed. The provided Porsche Certificate of Authenticity indicates that chassis #82102 left the factory as a 356 Speedster and confirms the original colors.

Some restoration photos and receipts from the work are included in the sale.

A repaint in the original shade of red (5602) was performed in the mid 1990s following some dent and rust repair.

Stone guards protect the sealed-beam headlights, and the car retains its early quadruple beehive taillights.

Body-colored bumpers are equipped with chrome overriders, and factory 15” wheels wear polished moon caps and Nankang CX-668 tires.

Speedster bucket seats are trimmed in black leatherette, with rubber mats and squareweave carpets covering the floors.

A 2-spoke factory wheel is retained, and VDO instrumentation includes a 120 mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 4,500 rpm redline.

Under 41k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.
