This 1956 Austin-Healey BN2 Roadster is one of just 640 factory-built 100M examples produced over a 10-month span and was completed on October 13, 1955.The 2,660cc inline-four was rebuilt in 2019 with an aluminum cylinder head from Denis Welch, forged 8.5:1-compression Arias pistons, a ground and re-hardened camshaft from Elgin, a high-volume oil pump, and more. Shifting remains through a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and additional work in the last two years has included overhauling the brake and suspension systems.

The 2,660cc inline-four utilizes a replacement block which was hot-tanked, re-sleeved, and line-bored during a 2019 rebuild.

An aluminum cylinder head with uprated bolts from Denis Welch was also added at that time, along with forged Arias pistons with an 8.5:1 compression ratio and a camshaft that was ground and re-hardened by Elgin to their number 6707 M specifications.

Additional work done during the engine rebuild, including: Installing a replacement crankshaft, Balancing the connecting rods and adding aircraft-specification wrist pin bolts, Installing new valves, guides, springs, and a new head gasket from Denis Welch, Installing a high-volume oil pump from Denis Welch, Rebushing the rockers and chrome-plating and grinding the rocker shafts, Lightening the flywheel and balancing it with the crankshaft, Rebuilding the water pump with a modern seal and sealed bearings, Fitting an aftermarket rear main seal and modern crankshaft pulley seal, Rebuilding the Lucas distributor, Re-lining the clutch with new friction material for wet or dry usage, Balancing and blue-printing the engine.

The suspension and brake systems were overhauled.

The exterior was repainted in Old English White with red lower panels.

The louvred bonnet is secured by a leather strap and is noted on the BMIHT Certificate as factory equipment, distinguishing the car as a factory-built 100M.

Body number 10819 is shown stamped on the hood and various trim pieces.

Painted 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and wear Dunlop SP 4N tires, as does the matching spare.

The front and rear bumpers, overriders, and bumper mounts were removed.

The interior features black leather with red piping over the seats and driveshaft tunnel, along with red carpeting, door panels, and trunk lining.

Additional details include a factory banjo-spoked steering wheel, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a 100M Registry badge affixed to the body-colored dash.

A black soft top is stowed behind the seats.

Smiths instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer.

The five-digit odometer shows 62,500 miles.
