A subsequent mechanical overhaul included a rebuilt 239ci flathead V8 and 3-speed manual transmission along with a 12-volt conversion, modern alternator and radiator, rebuilt suspension, and other updates.A replacement 239ci flathead V8 with a new engine core, hardened valve seats, ARP stainless head bolts, and Johnson adjustable lifters have been installed.Additional updates included Reds exhaust headers, a new vintage-look radiator from Cool Craft, an electric fan conversion, and a 12-volt starter and alternator from Powermaster.The column-mounted 3-speed manual transmission was rebuilt concurrently with the V8.The cosmetic restoration took place between 1999-2005 and involved stripping the existing paint as well as rust repair using components from another truck.Photos included in the sale document the work, which was completed with a repaint in factory F-1 Alpine color.Factory 16″ body-colored wheels with chrome hubcaps are shod with Coker Classic whitewall tires.The suspension has been rebuilt to stock specification.Interior options of the Deluxe cab include foam seat padding, additional sound-deadening material, locks and armrests on both doors, two-toned seat upholstery, a dome light, and twin horns.This example features new seat upholstery in burgundy and gray from LeBaron Bonney as well as factory-style floor coverings.A set of accessory gauges was fitted to monitor oil pressure and water temperature.The 5-digit odometer was reset at the time of refurbishment, and currently indicates just over 1,600 miles.
